Lagoon Catwalk – Splash Hit with Models and Designers
One of the biggest attractions at the 2008 $100,000 Opal Fashion Bash was this Lagoon Catwalk kindly constructed by this group of below Townsville Building Industry Companies. Over 170 surf swim wear designs were paraded by 120 models on Thursdays nights Lagoon Catwalk Fashion show.
Well it may be over for another year but the 2008 NOMA $100,000 Opal Fashion Bash was the best yet! Opals Pendants galore, lots of Cash Prizes, beautiful models & designs made in heaven were the order of the day. A record breaking 525 entries were registered from 3 states of Australia. 150 models hit the catwalk to parade over 202 design garments + another 327 designs in the 3 models & Miss Universe Australia prize categories, that's a whole lot of material! Overall it was a WIN ..WIN... for everyone. The guests in attendance, the entrants & all our sponsors. If there was any one special attraction it had to be the first ever staging of the 2008 Preliminary Townsville Final of Miss Universe Australia & of course that amazing Lagoon Catwalk on opening night. To everybody whom attended or helped in any way "Please take a well deserved Bow"
